MY TWO CENTS

So heres the deal. I got plenty of advice.  Am I an expert?  No.

But, I own a hot tub and I've learned over time how to take care of it, so I think I can help you.

OUR WEEKLY PLAN

Sunday morning:
- Add water as needed.
- Rinse off Filters.
- Adjust PH and TA until you're in the 7.4-7.5 range. (Caldera Nature2 instructions say adjust MPS first)
(If using a PH Decrease product do not run jets for 30 min).
(If using a PH Increase product wait 3 hours to retest.)
- Add 1/4 cup (2 oz) of Spa Defender.

Sunday night - Weekly Shock:
* 2 Tablespoons Dichlor (Caldera Nature2 instructions say 1 TBS)
- Run all jets 20 min.
- 6-8 Tablespoons Renew (OR 2-3 Tablespoons MPS and 1.5-2 Tablespoons of Alkalinity increaser)
(Caldera Nature2 instructions say 8 TBS Renew)
- Run all jets 10 min, then clean cycle.

Some guy writes: Instead of 3-4 TBLS of dichlor to shock use 1 TBLS dichlor and 3 OZ. MPS. Do this about every third shock and you reduce your cyanuric acid level in your tub slightly.

Monday:
- don't use spa before 2pm.

Monday after use:
- don't add any chemicals.

Tuesday:
- check PH and TA (since the sunday night shock may have changed it)

Tuesday after use, or at night:
* add Cl or MPS
1-2 tsp Cl depending on use since last Cl (to get to 1-3ppm after 2 hrs)
... OR ... 2 TBS MPS (if you might use spa later today)

Wednesday before use:
- check PH and TA (if adjusted on Tuesday)

Wednesday after use:
- add Cl or MPS (only if spa was used)

Thursday after use, or at night:
* add Cl or MPS
- add 2oz (1/4 cup) Spa Scum Gone

Friday daytime:
- check PH and TA (to get ready for weekend)

Friday after use, or at night:
* add Cl or MPS

Saturday after use, or at night:
* add Cl or MPS

Periodically: (from Caldera Nature2 instructions)
Shock with 1-2 TBS of dichlor as needed, this is your secret weapon.
