MY TWO CENTS

So heres the deal. I got plenty of advice.  Am I an expert?  No.

But, I bought a hot tub last year and I installed it myself, so I can help you with some information.

When you want to install the spa at your home, everybody says the best thing to put it on is a concrete slab.  But you can get away with other things also.  I used an EZ-Pad which is manufactured in Escondido.  It is a bit pricey though (approx $400) when you consider that its just a big piece of high-density styrofoam with the Rhino Lining stuff painted on.  Anyway, it seems to do the trick and saved me from getting concrete poured, but I had to make sure the ground beneath it is very level first.  I did that by using sand.

I will add more info later.
